Christ’s faithful followers keep away from Babylon the harlot (v. 8; 17:1–6) and are loyal to Him exclusively, as His pure bride (19:7, 8; Eph. 5:26, 27). Purity in sexual behavior is included as one element in this comprehensive purity (1 Cor. 6:15–20).
