86:8 There is none like you. The psalmist sees that no god of the surrounding nations can be compared with the Lord in what He is or what He does. This confession of God’s uniqueness is not a tacit admission that other gods exist (see v. 10). The psalmist is comparing the foreigners’ vain imaginations with the reality of Yahweh.
