Ps. 143 This song is the last of the “penitential psalms” (introduction to Ps. 6). The note of penitence is seen in v. 2, which may be alluded to by Paul (Rom. 3:20; Gal. 2:16). Ps. 142 and 143 are both appeals to God for help in the midst of trouble when there are no resources to depend on.
