Matt 10:25

10:25 Beelzebul. Greek beelzeboul, a transliteration of a Hebrew or Aramaic name for the prince of demons (12:24–27). The name probably means “lord of heaven,” and appears in the Old Testament in the intentionally distorted form Baal-zebub (“lord of the flies”) as a name for the god of Ekron (2 Kin. 1:2).
