Luke 20:36

20:36 equal to angels. At the Resurrection there will be a change in nature, and believers will have resurrection bodies like that of Christ (1 Cor. 15:35–58 and notes). Jesus’ point is not that human beings will be exactly like angels, but that the mode of existence of angels, and in particular their immortality, provides a clue to the post-resurrection existence of believers, who will also be immortal (1 Cor. 15:42, 52–55). Marriage and procreation will no longer be necessary or appropriate to immortal bodies. See “Resurrection and Glorification” at 1 Cor. 15:21.
