45:15 a God who hides yourself. God is said to hide Himself when He seems not to be present to help His people (8:17; 54:8). He is also “hidden” in the sense that He is unaccountable to anyone, and His ways are often mysterious (55:8, 9; Ps. 77:19 note; Rom. 9:20; 11:33, 34).
