15:4 Heshbon and Elealeh. These two towns were close together, about six miles north of Medeba (v. 2). Heshbon was captured by Israel under Moses (Num. 21:23–26).

Jahaz. Located on the Arnon River, about twenty miles south of Heshbon (Num. 21:23; Jer. 48:34).
