Ezek 20:26

20:26 their firstborn. The law was God’s gracious gift (v. 11 note), but when perverted it brought death. Ezekiel appears to regard the practice of child sacrifice in ancient Israel as a perversion of their laws regarding the firstborn (Ex. 13:1, 11–16; 22:29; 34:19, 20; Num. 18:15, 16). Every firstborn belonged to the Lord, but children were not to be sacrificed.
