2 Chr 21:2–20

21:2–20 The historian supplements the record of Jehoram’s reign in Kings (2 Kin. 8:16–24); in Kings the assessment is negative. Jehoram reigned as co-regent with Jehoshaphat 853–848 b.c. (2 Kin. 1:17; 3:1), and by himself 848–841 b.c. He murdered his brothers (21:2–7); Edom and Libnah rebelled against him (21:8–10); he fell into idolatry (21:11); and Elijah prophesied an impending judgment (21:12–20).
