1 Thess 1:7–8

1:7, 8 Paul is writing from Achaia, having traversed Macedonia and come through Athens to Corinth. Along the way he has found that the Christians already know of his work in Thessalonica and have learned of the faith of the Thessalonians. The Thessalonian Christians, beginners in Christ though they were, are examples to others of faith, love, and hope.
