13:2 Josiah. He ruled Judah 640–609 b.c., three hundred years after Jeroboam.

sacrifice . . . the priests of the high places. This prophecy is realized during Josiah’s reign (2 Kin. 23:15–20). By burning human bones on the altar, Josiah desecrated it and made it unfit for continued use as a sacred precinct.
