16:12 Now concerning our brother Apollos. Apparently, the Corinthians in their letter had asked for Apollos to return to them (Introduction: Date and Occasion; Acts 18:27–19:1). In spite of the improper attitude of the Corinthians (4:6; 4:15 note), Paul honored their request. It was not Apollos’ “will” to go at this time, but he would come later.
