II. Revelation (19:1–40:38)

With ch. 19 the second main section of the book begins. In the first section it was shown that the self-revealing acts of God are the means of salvation. In this section it is explained that the goal of salvation is obedience and worship. Why does God deliver? So that his people may know and share his character (19:1-24:18) and so that they may constantly experience his presence in joyous service (25:1-40:38).
