IV. Job's Peroration (29:1–31:40)

As Job was given the first word (ch. 3), he is now given the last word (chs. 29-31). Here he summarizes his position, beginning with ch. 29 where he recollects his former happy condition. In ch. 30 he speaks of his present miserable condition. Finally in ch. 31 he uses a series of oaths of clearance to establish his innocence.
