VI. Instructions for Holy Living (17:1–26:46)

This section of Leviticus presents instructions for living a holy life before God. It includes requirements for making sacrifices, regulations concerning the conduct of priests, instructions on Israel's sacred festivals and the Sabbath Year and Year of Jubilee, and laws concerning many aspects of daily life. In addition, one finds here exhortations to live consecrated lives. Enforcing the laws and exhortations is a final chapter in which God promises to bless Israel if they live faithfully before him but curse them if they are disobedient.
