Hebrew

Hebrew was the tongue of ancient Israelites and the written language in which the inspired writers penned the OT. In Isa 19:18 it is called “the language (lip) of Canaan”; in several places it is designated as “Judean,” “language of the Jews,” (2Ki 18:26; Isa 36:11, 13; 2Ch 32:18; Ne 13:24).
