VI. Epilogue (21:1–25)

As John came to an effective close with 20:30-31, ch. 21 must be seen as additional. However, since there is no evidence that the gospel ever circulated without it, we must think of it as an epilogue (cf. the prologue, 1:1-18) rather than as an addendum.
