Adrammelech [Ădrăm'melĕch]—adar is king or honor of the king. A son of Sennacherib, king of Assyria, who, with his brother Sharezer, slew their father in the temple of Nisroch (2 Kings 19:37; Isa. 37:38). Also the name of the heathen god, Adar (2 Kings 17:31).
