  20. Sell us food to eat and water to drink for their price in silver. Only let us pass through on foot—
  21. Do not eat anything you find already dead. You may give it to the foreigner residing in any of your towns, and they may eat it, or you may sell it to any other foreigner. But you are a people holy to the Lord your God. Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
  22. Freeing Servants

    If any of your people—Hebrew men or women—sell themselves to you and serve you six years, in the seventh year you must let them go free.
  23. If you are not pleased with her, let her go wherever she wishes. You must not sell her or treat her as a slave, since you have dishonored her.
  24. If someone is caught kidnapping a fellow Israelite and treating or selling them as a slave, the kidnapper must die. You must purge the evil from among you.
