  1. When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

    After this, Jesus travelled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him,
  15. ‘Where is your faith?’ he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, ‘Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.’
  16. Warnings and encouragements

    Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: ‘Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
  17. ‘Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king. Won’t he first sit down and consider whether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
  18. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognise the time of God’s coming to you.’
  19. He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty-handed.
  20. ‘As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.’
  21. Thus the saying “One sows and another reaps” is true.
  22. How can you believe since you accept glory from one another but do not seek the glory that comes from the only God ?
  23. The Jews said to one another, ‘Where does this man intend to go that we cannot find him? Will he go where our people live scattered among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
  24. They kept looking for Jesus, and as they stood in the temple courts they asked one another, ‘What do you think? Isn’t he coming to the festival at all?’
  25. So the Pharisees said to one another, ‘See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!’
