  1. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
  2. Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

  11. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
  12. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
  13. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
  14. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
