  1. Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven.

  11. but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.
  12. “Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.
  13. But the Jewish leaders incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.
  14. Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.
  15. So he reasoned in the synagogue with both Jews and God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there.
  16. When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.
  17. Fearing that we would be dashed against the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daylight.
