 ²that the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes and were over those who were numbered, offered.

   
 ³And they brought their offering before the LORD: six covered wagons and twelve oxen -- a wagon for two of the princes and for each one an ox; and they brought them before the tabernacle.

   
 ⁴And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

   
 ⁵"Take it from them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou shalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service."

   
 ⁶And Moses took the wagons and the oxen, and gave them unto the Levites.

   
 ⁷Two wagons and four oxen he gave unto the sons of Gershon, according to their service;

   
 ⁸and four wagons and eight oxen he gave unto the sons of Merari, according to their service, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

   
 ⁹But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none, because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.

   
 ¹⁰And the princes offered for the dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.

   
 ¹¹And the LORD said unto Moses, "They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar."

   
 ¹²And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.

   
 ¹³And his offering was one silver charger, the weight whereof was a hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering;

   
 ¹⁴one spoon of ten shekels of gold, full of incense;

   
 ¹⁵one young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering;

   
 ¹⁶one kid of the goats for a sin offering;

   
 ¹⁷and for a sacrifice of peace offerings: two oxen, five rams, five hegoats, five lambs of the first year. This was the offering of Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

   
 ¹⁸On the second day Nethaneel the son of Zuar, prince of Issachar, offered.

   
 ¹⁹He offered for his offering one silver charger, the weight whereof was a hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering;

   
 ²⁰one spoon of gold of ten shekels, full of incense;

   
 ²¹one young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering;

   
 ²²one kid of the goats for a sin offering;

 ²⁴On the third day Eliab the son of Helon, prince of the children of Zebulun, offered.

 ²⁶one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense;

   
 ²⁷one young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering;

 ³⁰On the fourth day Elizur the son of Shedeur, prince of the children of Reuben, offered.

   
 ³¹His offering was one silver charger of the weight of a hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering;

   
 ³²one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense;

   
 ³³one young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering;

   
 ³⁴one kid of the goats for a sin offering;

 ³⁶On the fifth day Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai, prince of the children of Simeon, offered.

   
 ³⁷His offering was one silver charger, the weight whereof was a hundred and thirty shekels, and one silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering;

 ⁴³His offering was one silver charger of the weight of a hundred and thirty shekels, and a silver bowl of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering;

   
 ⁴⁴one golden spoon of ten shekels, full of incense;

   
 ⁴⁵one young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt offering;

   
 ⁴⁶one kid of the goats for a sin offering;

 ⁸⁴This was the dedication of the altar in the day when it was anointed by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver bowls, twelve spoons of gold,

   
 ⁸⁵each charger of silver weighing a hundred and thirty shekels, each bowl seventy. All the silver vessels weighed two thousand and four hundred shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.

   
 ⁸⁶The golden spoons were twelve, full of incense, weighing ten shekels apiece, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; all the gold of the spoons was a hundred and twenty shekels.

   
 ⁸⁷All the oxen for the burnt offering were twelve bullocks, the rams twelve, the lambs of the first year twelve, with their meat offering, and the kids of the goats for sin offering twelve.

   
 ⁸⁸And all the oxen for the sacrifice of the peace offerings were twenty and four bullocks, the rams sixty, the hegoats sixty, the lambs of the first year sixty. This was for the dedication of the altar after it was anointed.

   
 ⁸⁹And when Moses had gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with Him, then he heard the voice of One speaking unto him from the mercy seat that was upon the ark of Testimony, from between the two cherubims; and He spoke unto him.

 ²"Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him: `When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.'"

   
 ³And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.

   
 ⁴And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold; unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work. According unto the pattern which the LORD had shown Moses, so he made the candlestick.

   
 ⁵And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

   
 ⁶"Take the Levites from among the children of Israel and cleanse them.

   
 ⁷And thus shalt thou do unto them to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

   
 ⁸Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.

   
 ⁹And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation, and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together.

   
 ¹⁰And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD, and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites.

   
 ¹¹And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.

   
 ¹²And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering unto the LORD to make an atonement for the Levites.

   
 ¹³And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.

   
 ¹⁴Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be Mine.

   
 ¹⁵And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and thou shalt cleanse them and offer them for an offering.

   
 ¹⁶For they are wholly given unto Me from among the children of Israel, instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel have I taken them unto Me.

   
 ¹⁷For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are Mine, both man and beast. On the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself.

   
 ¹⁸And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.

   
 ¹⁹And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary."

   
 ²⁰And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so did the children of Israel unto them.

   
 ²¹And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD, and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

   
 ²²And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron and before his sons. As the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

   
 ²³And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

   
 ²⁴"This is what applies unto the Levites: From twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.

   
 ²⁵And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more,

   
 ²⁶but shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites concerning their charge."

 ³¹It is like a grain of mustard seed which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth.

   
 ³²But when it is sown, it groweth up and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches, so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it."

   
 ³³And with many such parables He spoke the Word unto them, as they were able to hear it;

   
 ³⁴but without a parable spoke He not unto them. And when they were alone, He expounded all things to His disciples.

   
 ³⁵And that same day, when the evening had come, He said unto them,"Let us pass over unto the other side."

   
 ³⁶And when they had sent away the multitude, they took Him even as He was in the boat; and there were also with Him other little boats.

   
 ³⁷And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was now full.

   
 ³⁸But He was in the hind part of the boat, asleep on a pillow; and they awoke Him and said unto Him, "Master, carest thou not that we perish?"

   
 ³⁹And He arose, and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, "Peace, be still." And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

   
 ⁴⁰And He said unto them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?"

   
 ⁴¹And they feared exceedingly and said one to another, "What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"
