Message to Philadelphia

⁷ “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:

He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this:

⁵ and one of the elders *said to me, “Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the ^[a]book and its seven seals.”

¹⁶ “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things ^[a]for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.”
