Psalm 91:11-16

New International Version

¹¹For he will command his angels^(A) concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;^(B)
¹²they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.^(C)
¹³You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.^(D)

¹⁴“Because he^[a] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
¹⁵He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.^(E)
¹⁶With long life^(F) I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.^(G)”

²⁵“Therefore I tell you, do not worry^(B) about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? ²⁶Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.^(C) Are you not much more valuable than they?^(D) ²⁷Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life^[a]?^(E)

²⁸“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. ²⁹Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor^(F) was dressed like one of these. ³⁰If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?^(G)
