¹⁴ He was given authority,^(A) glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him.^(B) His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom^(C) is one that will never be destroyed.^(D)

³⁴ “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom^(A) prepared for you since the creation of the world.^(B)

³² He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.^(A) The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,^{(B) 33} and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom^(C) will never end.”^(D)

²⁷ The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken^(A)—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

²⁸ Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken,^(B) let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,^{(C) 29} for our “God is a consuming fire.”^[a](D)

Praise to God for a Living Hope

³ Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!^(A) In his great mercy^(B) he has given us new birth^(C) into a living hope^(D) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,^{(E) 4} and into an inheritance^(F) that can never perish, spoil or fade.^(G) This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,^{(H) 5} who through faith are shielded by God’s power^(I) until the coming of the salvation^(J) that is ready to be revealed^(K) in the last time.
