³⁴ “But ^(A)be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that ^[a]this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap;

⁹ Or ^(A)do you not know that the unrighteous will not ^(B)inherit the kingdom of God? ^(C)Do not be deceived; ^(D)neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor ^[a]homosexuals,

²⁷ For all of you who were ^(A)baptized into Christ have ^(B)clothed yourselves with Christ.

¹⁶ But I say, ^(A)walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out ^(B)the desire of the flesh.

^11 (A)Do not participate in the useless ^(B)deeds of ^(C)darkness, but instead even ^(D)expose them;

^11 (A)Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the ^(B)schemes of the devil. ¹² For our ^(C)struggle is not against ^[a](D)flesh and blood, but ^(E)against the rulers, against the powers, against the ^(F)world forces of this ^(G)darkness, against the ^(H)spiritual forces of wickedness in ^(I)the heavenly places. ¹³ Therefore, take up ^(J)the full armor of God, so that you will be able to ^(K)resist on ^(L)the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. ¹⁴ Stand firm therefore, ^(M)having belted your waist with truth, and having ^(N)put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and having ^(O)strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; ^16 [b]in addition to all, taking up the ^(P)shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the ^(Q)flaming arrows of ^(R)the evil one. ¹⁷ And take ^(S)the helmet of salvation and the ^(T)sword of the Spirit, which is ^(U)the word of God.

⁸ Finally, brothers and sisters, ^(A)whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is ^[a]lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

¹⁴ But if you have bitter ^(A)jealousy and ^[a]selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against ^(B)the truth.
