Nehemiah 2:19-20
New International Version
19 But when Sanballat(A) the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official and Geshem(B) the Arab heard about it, they mocked and ridiculed us.(C) “What is this you are doing?” they asked. “Are you rebelling against the king?”
20 I answered them by saying, “The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding,(D) but as for you, you have no share(E) in Jerusalem or any claim or historic right to it.”

19 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant and (A)Geshem the Arab heard of it, (B)they jeered at us and despised us and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? (C)Are you rebelling against the king?” 20 Then I replied to them, (D)“The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build, but you have no portion or right or claim[a] in Jerusalem.”

19 When Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab heard about our plans, they started insulting us and saying, “Just look at you! Do you plan to rebuild the walls of the city and rebel against the king?”
20 I answered, “We are servants of the God who rules from heaven, and he will make our work succeed. So we will start rebuilding Jerusalem, but you have no right to any of its property, because you have had no part in its history.”
