³² Every one therefore who shall confess ^[a]me before men, ^[b]him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven. ³³ But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

⁸ And I say unto you, Every one who shall confess ^[a]me before men, ^[b]him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: ⁹ but he that denieth me in the presence of men shall be denied in the presence of the angels of God.

¹⁹ Now this he spake, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

²² Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
