¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.^{(A) 19} Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,^(B) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,^{(C) 20} and teaching^(D) them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you^(E) always, to the very end of the age.”^(F)

¹⁸ “And I, because of what they have planned and done,^(A) am about to come^[a] and gather the people of all nations^(B) and languages, and they will come and see my glory.^(C)

¹⁹ “I will set a sign^(D) among them, and I will send some of those who survive^(E) to the nations—to Tarshish,^(F) to the Libyans^[b] and Lydians^(G) (famous as archers), to Tubal^(H) and Greece,^(I) and to the distant islands^(J) that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory.^(K) They will proclaim my glory among the nations.

⁴⁶ He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer^(A) and rise from the dead on the third day,^{(B) 47} and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name^(C) to all nations,^(D) beginning at Jerusalem.^{(E) 48} You are witnesses^(F) of these things.

⁸ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;^(A) and you will be my witnesses^(B) in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,^(C) and to the ends of the earth.”^(D)

⁴⁷ For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
