¹⁹ But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it.^(A) At that time you will be given what to say, ²⁰ for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father^(B) speaking through you.

¹¹ Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.^(A)

¹⁴ But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.^{(A) 15} For I will give you^(B) words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

2 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom^(A) as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.^{[a] 2} For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.^{(B) 3} I came to you^(C) in weakness^(D) with great fear and trembling.^{(E) 4} My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,^(F) but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,^(G)
