²⁵ Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout.^(A) He was waiting for the consolation of Israel,^(B) and the Holy Spirit was on him.

⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael^(A) and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law,^(B) and about whom the prophets also wrote^(C)—Jesus of Nazareth,^(D) the son of Joseph.”^(E)

²¹ When his family^[a] heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”^(A)

²² And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem^(B) said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul!^(C) By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”^(D)

⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven^(A) is my brother and sister and mother.”

¹² Then Jesus said to his host, “When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.
