Job: Man’s Frailty and God’s Majesty

26 But Job answered and said:

“How have you helped him who is without power?
How have you saved the arm that has no strength?
How have you counseled one who has no wisdom?
And how have you declared sound advice to many?
To whom have you uttered words?
And whose spirit came from you?

“The dead tremble,
Those under the waters and those inhabiting them.
(A)Sheol is naked before Him,
And Destruction has no covering.
(B)He stretches out the north over empty space;
He hangs the earth on nothing.
(C)He binds up the water in His thick clouds,
Yet the clouds [a]are not broken under it.
He covers the face of His throne,
And spreads His cloud over it.
10 (D)He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters,
At the boundary of light and darkness.
11 The pillars of heaven tremble,
And are [b]astonished at His rebuke.
12 (E)He stirs up the sea with His power,
And by His understanding He breaks up [c]the storm.
13 (F)By His Spirit He adorned the heavens;
His hand pierced (G)the fleeing serpent.
14 Indeed these are the mere edges of His ways,
And how small a whisper we hear of Him!
But the thunder of His power who can understand?”

11 (A)Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
(B)Let the sea roar, and [a]all its fullness;
12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice
13     before the Lord.
For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
(C)He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.

10 Do not remove the ancient [a]landmark,
Nor enter the fields of the fatherless;

25 But now (A)I am going to Jerusalem to [a]minister to the saints. 26 For (B)it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. 27 It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For (C)if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, (D)their duty is also to minister to them in material things. 28 Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them (E)this fruit, I shall go by way of you to Spain. 29 (F)But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing [b]of the gospel of Christ.

30 Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and (G)through the love of the Spirit, (H)that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me, 31 (I)that I may be delivered from those in Judea who [c]do not believe, and that (J)my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, 32 (K)that I may come to you with joy (L)by the will of God, and may (M)be refreshed together with you. 33 Now (N)the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
