Job 25

Bildad Says Man Is Inferior

 ¹Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
    ²"^(A)Dominion and awe belong to Him
         Who establishes peace in ^(B)His heights.
    ³"Is there any number to ^(C)His troops?
         And upon whom does His light not rise?
    ⁴"How then can a man be ^(D)just with God?
         Or how can he be ^(E)clean who is born of woman?
    ⁵"If even ^(F)the moon has no brightness
         And the ^(G)stars are not pure in His sight,
    ⁶How much less ^(H)man, that ^(I)maggot,
         And the son of man, that worm!"
