Isaiah 6:1-5
New American Standard Bible
Isaiah’s Vision
6 In the year of (A)King Uzziah’s death (B)I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. 2 Seraphim were standing above Him, (C)each having six wings: with two each covered his face, and with two each covered his feet, and with two each flew. 3 And one called out to another and said,
4 And the [b]foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the [c](F)temple was filling with smoke. 5 Then I said,
“(G)Woe to me, for I am ruined!
Because I am a man of (H)unclean lips,
And I live among a (I)people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the (J)King, the Lord of armies.”

4 (A)Around the throne were (B)twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw (C)twenty-four elders (D)sitting, clothed in (E)white garments, and (F)golden crowns on their heads.
The Throne and Worship of the Creator
5 Out from the throne *came (G)flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were (H)seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are [a](I)the seven spirits of God; 6 and before the throne there was something like a (J)sea of glass, like crystal; and in the [b]center and (K)around the throne, (L)four living creatures (M)full of eyes in front and behind. 7 (N)The first living creature was like a lion, the second creature like a calf, the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle. 8 And the (O)four living creatures, each one of them having (P)six wings, are (Q)full of eyes around and within; and (R)day and night [c]they do not cease to say,
“(S)Holy, holy, holy is the (T)Lord God, the Almighty, (U)who was and who is and who [d]is to come.”
