Isaiah 3:13-26

New International Version

¹³ The Lord takes his place in court;^(A)
    he rises to judge^(B) the people.
¹⁴ The Lord enters into judgment^(C)
    against the elders and leaders of his people:
“It is you who have ruined my vineyard;
    the plunder^(D) from the poor^(E) is in your houses.
¹⁵ What do you mean by crushing my people^(F)
    and grinding^(G) the faces of the poor?”^(H)
declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.^(I)

¹⁶ The Lord says,
    “The women of Zion^(J) are haughty,
walking along with outstretched necks,^(K)
    flirting with their eyes,
strutting along with swaying hips,
    with ornaments jingling on their ankles.
¹⁷ Therefore the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the women of Zion;
    the Lord will make their scalps bald.^(L)”

²⁴ Instead of fragrance^(V) there will be a stench;^(W)
    instead of a sash,^(X) a rope;
instead of well-dressed hair, baldness;^(Y)
    instead of fine clothing, sackcloth;^(Z)
    instead of beauty,^(AA) branding.^(AB)
25 Your men will fall by the sword,^(AC)
    your warriors in battle.^(AD)
26 The gates^(AE) of Zion will lament and mourn;^(AF)
    destitute,^(AG) she will sit on the ground.^(AH)
