The Tabernacle Completed
38 (A)Then he made the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood, [a]five cubits [b]long, and five cubits [c]wide, square, and three cubits [d]high. 2 And he made its horns on its four corners, its horns [e]being of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with [f]bronze. 3 He also made all the utensils of the altar, the pails, the shovels, the basins, the meat-forks, and the firepans; he made all its utensils of bronze. 4 And he made for the altar a grating of bronze netting beneath, under its ledge, reaching halfway up. 5 He also cast four rings on the four ends of the bronze grating as holders for the poles. 6 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with bronze. 7 Then he inserted the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to carry it. He made it hollow with planks.
8 (B)Moreover, he made the basin of bronze with its base of bronze, [g]from the mirrors of the serving women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting.
9 (C)Then he made the courtyard: [h]for the south side the hangings of the courtyard were of fine twisted linen, a hundred cubits; 10 their twenty pillars, and their twenty bases, were made of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their [i]bands were of silver. 11 For the north side there were a hundred cubits; their twenty pillars and their twenty bases were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their [j]bands were of silver. 12 For the west side there were hangings of fifty cubits with their ten pillars and their ten bases; the hooks of the pillars and their [k]bands were of silver. 13 For the [l]east side, fifty cubits. 14 The hangings for the one [m]side of the gate were fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three bases, 15 and so for the [n]other [o]side. [p]On both sides of the gate of the courtyard were hangings of fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three bases. 16 All the hangings of the courtyard all around were of fine twisted linen. 17 And the bases for the pillars were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their [q]bands, of silver; and the overlaying of their tops, of silver, and all the pillars of the courtyard were furnished with silver [r]bands. 18 Now the curtain of the gate of the courtyard was the work of the [s]weaver, of [t]violet, purple, and scarlet material and fine twisted linen. And the length was twenty cubits and the [u]height was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the courtyard. 19 Their four pillars and their four bases were of bronze; their hooks were of silver, and the overlaying of their tops and their [v]bands were of silver. 20 All the pegs of the [w]tabernacle and of the courtyard all around were of bronze.
The Cost of the Tabernacle
21 [x]This is the number of the things for the [y]tabernacle, the [z]tabernacle of the testimony, as they were [aa]counted according to the [ab]command of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 22 Now (D)Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made everything that the Lord had commanded Moses. 23 With him was (E)Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and a skilled embroiderer, and a [ac]weaver in violet, in purple, and in scarlet material, and fine linen.
24 All the gold that was used for the work, in all the work of the sanctuary, [ad]which was the gold of the wave offering, was twenty-nine [ae]talents and 730 [af]shekels, according to (F)the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 And (G)the silver of those of the congregation who were [ag]counted was a hundred talents and 1,775 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; 26 (H)a beka a head (that is, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary), assessed to each one who passed over to those who were [ah]counted, from twenty years old and upward, for (I)603,550 men. 27 The hundred talents of silver were used for casting the bases of the sanctuary and the bases of the veil; a hundred bases for the hundred talents, a talent for a base. 28 And of the 1,775 shekels, he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their tops and made [ai]bands for them. 29 And the bronze of the wave offering was seventy talents and 2,400 shekels. 30 With it he made the bases to the doorway of the tent of meeting, and the bronze altar and its bronze grating, and all the utensils of the altar, 31 and the bases of the courtyard all around and the bases of the gate of the courtyard, and all the pegs of the [aj]tabernacle and all the pegs of the courtyard all around.
The Priestly Garments
39 Now from the (J)[ak]violet, purple, and scarlet material they made finely (K)woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, [al]as well as the holy garments which were for Aaron, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
2 (L)He made the ephod of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen. 3 Then they hammered out gold sheets and cut them into threads [am]to be woven in with the violet, the purple, and the scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a skilled embroiderer. 4 They made attaching shoulder pieces for [an]the ephod; it was attached at its two upper ends. 5 And the skillfully woven band of its overlay which was on it was like its workmanship, [ao]of the same material: of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6 (M)They also made the onyx stones, set in gold filigree settings; they were engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 7 And (N)he placed them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
8 And (O)he made the breastpiece, the work of a skilled embroiderer, like the workmanship of the ephod: of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material and fine twisted linen. 9 It was square; they made the breastpiece folded double, a [ap]span [aq]long and a span [ar]wide when folded double. 10 And they [as]mounted four rows of stones on it. The first row was a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald; 11 and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12 and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set in gold filigree settings when they were [at]mounted. 14 The stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel; they were twelve, corresponding to their names, engraved with the engravings of a signet, each with its name for the twelve tribes. 15 And they made for the breastpiece chains like cords, work of twisted cords of pure gold. 16 They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastpiece. 17 Then they put the two gold cords in the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece. 18 And they put the other two ends of the two cords on the two filigree settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it. 19 They made two gold rings and placed them on the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inner edge which was next to the ephod. 20 Furthermore, they made two gold rings and placed them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, on the front of it, close to the place where it joined, above the woven band of the ephod. 21 And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a violet cord, so that it would be on the woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece would not come loose from the ephod, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 (P)Then he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of violet; 23 (Q)and the opening of the robe was at the top in the center, as the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding all around its opening, so that it would not be torn. 24 And they made pomegranates of violet, purple, and scarlet material and twisted linen on the hem of the robe. 25 They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around on the hem of the [au]robe, 26 [av]alternating a bell and a pomegranate all around on the hem of the robe for the service, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
27 (R)They also made the tunics of finely woven linen for Aaron and his sons, 28 and the turban of fine linen, and the decorated [aw]caps of fine linen, and the linen undergarments of fine twisted linen, 29 and the sash of fine twisted linen, and violet, purple, and scarlet material, the work of the [ax]weaver, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
30 (S)They also made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and [ay]inscribed it like the engravings of a signet, “Holy to the Lord.” 31 Then they [az]fastened a violet cord to it, to [ba]fasten it on the turban above, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
32 So all the work of the [bb]tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed; and the sons of Israel did according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did. 33 Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its [bc]furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 34 and the covering of rams’ skins [bd]dyed red, and the covering of [be]fine leather, and the covering curtain; 35 the ark of the testimony, its poles, and the [bf]atoning cover; 36 the table, all its utensils, and the bread of the [bg]Presence; 37 the pure gold lampstand, [bh]with its arrangement of lamps and all its utensils, and the oil for the light; 38 and the gold altar, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the curtain for the doorway of the tent; 39 the [bi]bronze altar and its [bj]bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; 40 the hangings for the courtyard, its pillars and its bases, and the curtain for the gate of the courtyard, its ropes and its pegs, and all the [bk]equipment for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 41 the woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to serve as priests. 42 So the sons of Israel did all the work according to everything that the Lord had commanded Moses. 43 And Moses [bl]examined all the work, and behold, they had done it; just as the Lord had commanded, this they had done. So Moses (T)blessed them.
The Tabernacle Erected
40 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “(U)On the first day of the first month you shall set up the [bm]tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 3 (V)You shall place the ark of the testimony there, and you shall screen off the ark with the veil. 4 Then you shall (W)bring in the table and (X)arrange [bn]what belongs on it; and you shall (Y)bring in the lampstand and [bo]mount its lamps. 5 You shall also (Z)set the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the testimony, and set up the curtain for the doorway to the tabernacle. 6 And you shall set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 7 Then you shall (AA)set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water [bp]in it. 8 You shall also set up the courtyard all around and [bq]hang up the curtain for the gate of the courtyard. 9 Then you shall take the anointing oil and (AB)anoint the tabernacle and everything that is in it, and consecrate it and all its [br]furnishings; and it shall be holy. 10 You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar, and (AC)the altar shall be most holy. 11 And you shall anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it. 12 Then you shall (AD)bring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. 13 And (AE)you shall put the holy garments on Aaron and anoint him and consecrate him, so that he may serve as a priest to Me. 14 You shall also bring his sons and put tunics on them; 15 and you shall anoint them just as you have anointed their father, so that they may serve as priests to Me; and their anointing will [bs]qualify them for a (AF)permanent priesthood throughout their generations.” 16 So Moses did these things; according to all that the Lord had commanded him, so he did.
17 Now (AG)in the first month [bt]of the second year, on the first day of the month, the [bu]tabernacle was erected. 18 Moses erected the tabernacle and [bv]laid its bases, and set up its boards, and [bw]inserted its bars, and erected its pillars. 19 And he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent [bx]on top of it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 20 Then he took (AH)the testimony and put it into the ark, and [by]attached the poles to the ark, and put the [bz]atoning cover [ca]on top of the ark. 21 He then brought the ark into the tabernacle, and (AI)set up a veil for the covering, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 22 He also (AJ)put the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil. 23 And he set the arrangement of (AK)bread in order on it before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 24 Then he placed the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle. 25 And he (AL)lighted the lamps before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 26 Then he (AM)placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil; 27 and he (AN)burned fragrant incense on it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 28 Then he set up the curtain for the doorway of the tabernacle. 29 And he (AO)set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and (AP)offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 30 He placed the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing. 31 (AQ)From it Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet. 32 When they entered the tent of meeting, and when they approached the altar, they washed, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 33 And he (AR)erected the courtyard all around the [cb]tabernacle and the altar, and [cc]hung up the curtain for the gate of the courtyard. So Moses finished the work.
The Glory of the Lord
34 (AS)Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the (AT)glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses (AU)was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 36 Throughout their journeys, (AV)whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out; 37 but (AW)if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up. 38 For throughout their journeys, (AX)the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.

Making the Altar of Burnt Offering(A)
38 He made (B)the altar of burnt offering of acacia wood; five cubits was its length and five cubits its width—it was square—and its height was three cubits. 2 He made its horns on its four corners; the horns were of one piece with it. And he overlaid it with bronze. 3 He made all the utensils for the altar: the pans, the shovels, the basins, the forks, and the firepans; all its utensils he made of bronze. 4 And he made a grate of bronze network for the altar, under its rim, midway from the bottom. 5 He cast four rings for the four corners of the bronze grating, as holders for the poles. 6 And he made the poles of acacia wood, and overlaid them with bronze. 7 Then he put the poles into the rings on the sides of the altar, with which to bear it. He made the altar hollow with boards.
Making the Bronze Laver
8 He made (C)the laver of bronze and its base of bronze, from the bronze mirrors of the serving women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

The length was twenty cubits, and the height along its width was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the court. 19 And there were four pillars with their four sockets of bronze; their hooks were silver, and the overlay of their capitals and their bands was silver. 20 All the (F)pegs of the tabernacle, and of the court all around, were bronze.
Materials of the Tabernacle
21 [a]This is the inventory of the tabernacle, (G)the tabernacle of the Testimony, which was counted according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, (H)by the hand of (I)Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.
22 (J)Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the Lord had commanded Moses. 23 And with him was (K)Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and [b]designer, a weaver of blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine linen.
24 All the gold that was used in all the work of the holy place, that is, the gold of the (L)offering, was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels, according to (M)the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 And the silver from those who were (N)numbered of the congregation was one hundred talents and one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary: 26 (O)a bekah for [c]each man (that is, half a shekel, according to the shekel of the sanctuary), for everyone included in the numbering from twenty years old and above, for (P)six hundred and three thousand, five hundred and fifty men. 27 And from the hundred talents of silver were cast (Q)the sockets of the sanctuary and the bases of the veil: one hundred sockets from the hundred talents, one talent for each socket. 28 Then from the one thousand seven hundred and seventy-five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, overlaid their capitals, and (R)made bands for them.
29 The offering of bronze was seventy talents and two thousand four hundred shekels. 30 And with it he made the sockets for the door of the tabernacle of meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, and all the utensils for the altar, 31 the sockets for the court all around, the bases for the court gate, all the pegs for the tabernacle, and all the pegs for the court all around.
Making the Garments of the Priesthood(S)
39 Of the (T)blue, purple, and scarlet thread they made (U)garments[d] of ministry, for ministering in the [e]holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron, (V)as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Making the Ephod
2 (W)He made the (X)ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen. 3 And they beat the gold into thin sheets and cut it into threads, to work it in with the blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and the fine linen, into artistic designs. 4 They made shoulder straps for it to couple it together; it was coupled together at its two edges. 5 And the intricately woven band of his ephod that was on it was of the same workmanship, woven of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
6 (Y)And they set onyx stones, enclosed in [f]settings of gold; they were engraved, as signets are engraved, with the names of the sons of Israel. 7 He put them on the shoulders of the ephod as (Z)memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Making the Breastplate
8 (AA)And he made the breastplate, artistically woven like the workmanship of the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and of fine woven linen. 9 They made the breastplate square by doubling it; a span was its length and a span its width when doubled. 10 (AB)And they set in it four rows of stones: a row with a sardius, a topaz, and an emerald was the first row; 11 the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12 the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold in their mountings. 14 There were (AC)twelve stones according to the names of the sons of Israel: according to their names, engraved like a signet, each one with its own name according to the twelve tribes. 15 And they made chains for the breastplate at the ends, like braided cords of pure gold. 16 They also made two settings of gold and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate. 17 And they put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate. 18 The two ends of the two braided chains they fastened in the two settings, and put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod in the front. 19 And they made two rings of gold and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, on the edge of it, which was on the inward side of the ephod. 20 They made two other gold rings and put them on the two shoulder straps, underneath the ephod toward its front, right at the seam above the intricately woven band of the ephod. 21 And they bound the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord, so that it would be above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate would not come loose from the ephod, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Making the Other Priestly Garments
22 (AD)He made the (AE)robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue. 23 And there was an opening in the middle of the robe, like the opening in a coat of mail, with a woven binding all around the opening, so that it would not tear. 24 They made on the hem of the robe pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet, and of fine woven linen. 25 And they made (AF)bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates on the hem of the robe all around between the pomegranates: 26 a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe to [g]minister in, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
27 (AG)They made tunics, artistically woven of fine linen, for Aaron and his sons, 28 (AH)a turban of fine linen, exquisite hats of fine linen, (AI)short trousers of fine woven linen, 29 (AJ)and a sash of fine woven linen with blue, purple, and scarlet thread, made by a weaver, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
30 (AK)Then they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote on it an inscription like the engraving of a signet:
(AL)HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
31 And they tied to it a blue cord, to fasten it above on the turban, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
The Work Completed(AM)
32 Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was (AN)finished. And the children of Israel did (AO)according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did. 33 And they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets; 34 the covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of badger skins, and the veil of the covering; 35 the ark of the Testimony with its poles, and the mercy seat; 36 the table, all its utensils, and the (AP)showbread; 37 the pure gold lampstand with its lamps (the lamps set in order), all its utensils, and the oil for light; 38 the gold altar, the anointing oil, and the sweet incense; the screen for the tabernacle door; 39 the bronze altar, its grate of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils; the laver with its base; 40 the hangings of the court, its pillars and its sockets, the screen for the court gate, its cords, and its pegs; all the utensils for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 41 and the [h]garments of ministry, to [i]minister in the holy place: the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister as priests.
42 According to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so the children of Israel (AQ)did all the work. 43 Then Moses looked over all the work, and indeed they had done it; as the Lord had commanded, just so they had done it. And Moses (AR)blessed them.
The Tabernacle Erected and Arranged
40 Then the Lord (AS)spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “On the first day of the (AT)first month you shall set up (AU)the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 3 (AV)You shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and [j]partition off the ark with the veil. 4 (AW)You shall bring in the table and (AX)arrange the things that are to be set in order on it; (AY)and you shall bring in the lampstand and [k]light its lamps. 5 (AZ)You shall also set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the Testimony, and put up the screen for the door of the tabernacle. 6 Then you shall set the (BA)altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 7 And (BB)you shall set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 8 You shall set up the court all around, and hang up the screen at the court gate.
9 “And you shall take the anointing oil, and (BC)anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it; and you shall hallow it and all its utensils, and it shall be holy. 10 You shall (BD)anoint the altar of the burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar. (BE)The altar shall be most holy. 11 And you shall anoint the laver and its base, and consecrate it.
12 (BF)“Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of meeting and wash them with water. 13 You shall put the holy (BG)garments on Aaron, (BH)and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. 14 And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics. 15 You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to Me as priests; for their anointing shall surely be (BI)an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”
16 Thus Moses did; according to all that the Lord had commanded him, so he did.
17 And it came to pass in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the (BJ)tabernacle was [l]raised up. 18 So Moses raised up the tabernacle, fastened its sockets, set up its boards, put in its bars, and raised up its pillars. 19 And he spread out the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 20 He took (BK)the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark. 21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, (BL)hung up the veil of the covering, and partitioned off the ark of the Testimony, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22 (BM)He put the table in the tabernacle of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil; 23 (BN)and he set the bread in order upon it before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 24 (BO)He put the lampstand in the tabernacle of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle; 25 and (BP)he lit the lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 26 (BQ)He put the gold altar in the tabernacle of meeting in front of the veil; 27 (BR)and he burned sweet incense on it, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 28 (BS)He hung up the screen at the door of the tabernacle. 29 (BT)And he put the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and (BU)offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 30 (BV)He set the laver between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar, and put water there for washing; 31 and Moses, Aaron, and his sons would (BW)wash their hands and their feet with water from it. 32 Whenever they went into the tabernacle of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed, (BX)as the Lord had commanded Moses. 33 (BY)And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses (BZ)finished the work.
The Cloud and the Glory(CA)
34 (CB)Then the (CC)cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the (CD)glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses (CE)was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 36 (CF)Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the tabernacle, the children of Israel would [m]go onward in all their journeys. 37 But (CG)if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. 38 For (CH)the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

God’s Final Word in His Son
1 God, after He (A)spoke long ago to the fathers in (B)the prophets in many portions and (C)in many ways, 2 [a](D)in these last days (E)has spoken to us [b]in His (F)Son, whom He appointed (G)heir of all things, (H)through whom He also made the [c](I)world. 3 [d]And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact (J)representation of His nature, and [e](K)upholds all things by [f]the word of His power. When He had made (L)purification of sins, He (M)sat down at the right hand of the (N)Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent (O)name than they.
5 For to which of the angels did He ever say,
“(P)You are My Son,
Today I have fathered You”?
And again,
“(Q)I will be a Father to Him
And He will be a Son to Me”?
6 And [g]when He again (R)brings the firstborn into [h](S)the world, He says,
“(T)And let all the angels of God worship Him.”
7 And regarding the angels He says,
“(U)He makes His angels winds,
And His ministers a flame of fire.”
8 But regarding the Son He says,
“(V)Your throne, God, is forever and ever,
And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of [i]His kingdom.
9 (W)You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
(X)Therefore God, Your God, has (Y)anointed You
With the oil of joy above Your companions.”
10 And,
“(Z)You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
11 (AA)They will perish, but You remain;
(AB)And they all will [j]wear out like a garment,
12 (AC)And like a robe You will roll them up;
Like a garment they will also be changed.

And Your years will not come to an end.”
13 But to which of the angels has He ever said,

God’s Supreme Revelation(A)
1 God, who [a]at various times and (B)in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the [b]worlds; 3 (C)who being the brightness of His glory and the express (D)image of His person, and (E)upholding all things by the word of His power, (F)when He had [c]by Himself [d]purged [e]our sins, (G)sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as (H)He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
The Son Exalted Above Angels
5 For to which of the angels did He ever say:
(I)“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”?
And again:
(J)“I will be to Him a Father,
And He shall be to Me a Son”?
6 But when He again brings (K)the firstborn into the world, He says:
(L)“Let all the angels of God worship Him.”
7 And of the angels He says:
(M)“Who makes His angels spirits
And His ministers a flame of fire.”
8 But to the Son He says:
(N)“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A [f]scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God, (O)has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”
10 And:
