¹⁰ Now leave me alone^(A) so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy^(B) them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”^(C)

² When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed^(A) to the Lord^(B) and the fire died down.

¹⁴ Therefore I swore to the house of Eli, ‘The guilt of Eli’s house will never be atoned^(A) for by sacrifice or offering.’”

⁶ Then the king said to the man of God, “Intercede^(A) with the Lord your God and pray for me that my hand may be restored.” So the man of God interceded with the Lord, and the king’s hand was restored and became as it was before.

¹⁴ The Lord Almighty has revealed this in my hearing:^(A) “Till your dying day this sin will not be atoned^(B) for,” says the Lord, the Lord Almighty.

15 Then the Lord said to me: “Even if Moses^(A) and Samuel^(B) were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people.^(C) Send them away from my presence!^(D) Let them go!
