The Covenant Renewed

¹⁰ And he said, “Behold, ^(A)I am making a covenant. Before all your people ^(B)I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an ^(C)awesome thing that I will do with you.

¹¹ “Observe what I command you this day. Behold, ^(D)I will drive out before you the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

^20 (A)You shall fear the Lord your God. You shall serve him and ^(B)hold fast to him, and ^(C)by his name you shall swear. ^21 (D)He is your praise. He is your God, ^(E)who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen. ²² Your fathers went down to Egypt ^(F)seventy persons, and now the Lord your God has made you ^(G)as numerous as the stars of heaven.

^22 (A)Therefore you are great, O Lord God. ^(B)For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. ^23 (C)And who is like your people Israel, the one nation on earth whom God went to redeem to be his people, making himself a name ^(D)and doing for them^[a] great and awesome things by driving out before your people,^[b] whom ^(E)you redeemed for yourself from Egypt, a nation and its gods? ^24 (F)And you established for yourself your people Israel to be your people forever. And you, O Lord, became their God.

²⁰ There is none like you, O Lord, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. ²¹ And who is like your people Israel, the one^[a] nation on earth whom God went to redeem to be his people, making for yourself a name for great and awesome things, in driving out nations before your people whom you redeemed from Egypt? ²² And you made your people Israel to be your people forever, and you, O Lord, became their God.
