⁵⁹ While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”^(A)

¹⁴ And he has come here with authority from the chief priests^(A) to arrest all who call on your name.”^(B)

²¹ All those who heard him were astonished and asked, “Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name?^(A) And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”^(B)

¹⁶ And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized^(A) and wash your sins away,^(B) calling on his name.’^(C)

¹² For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile^(A)—the same Lord is Lord of all^(B) and richly blesses all who call on him,

¹⁴ How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

² To the church of God^(A) in Corinth,^(B) to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called^(C) to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name^(D) of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:

²² Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love^(A) and peace, along with those who call on the Lord^(B) out of a pure heart.^(C)
