³⁵ When the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites, he commanded them: “Do not worship^(A) any other gods or bow down to them, serve them or sacrifice to them.^{(B) 36} But the Lord, who brought you up out of Egypt with mighty power and outstretched arm,^(C) is the one you must worship. To him you shall bow down and to him offer sacrifices.

Daily Offerings

28 The Lord said to Moses, ² “Give this command to the Israelites and say to them: ‘Make sure that you present to me at the appointed time^(A) my food^(B) offerings, as an aroma pleasing to me.’^(C)

⁸ Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. ⁹ “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

¹⁰ Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan!^(A) For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’^[a]”^(B)
