    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  12. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
  13. Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
  14. Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
  15. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
  16. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
  17. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
  18. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
  19. Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.
  20. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.
  21. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
  22. Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
  23. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
  24. For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
  25. Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
