  1. The Servant of the Lord

    “Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
  2. For Jacob My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.
  3. I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, And from Judah an heir of My mountains; My elect shall inherit it, And My servants shall dwell there.
  4. They shall not build and another inhabit; They shall not plant and another eat; For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, And My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
  5. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
  6. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
  7. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
  8. And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days.
  9. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
  10. And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.
  11. And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
  12. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
  13. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
  14. Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
  15. (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls),
  16. Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
  17. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
  18. Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers.
  19. having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
  20. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
  21. Character of the New Man

    Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
  22. knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God.
  23. I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing with partiality.
  24. Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
