  1. And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness.

  192. The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

  232. in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
  233. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.
  234. Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.
  235. who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

    False Teachers and True Contentment

    Teach and urge these things.
  239. which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that day what has been entrusted to me.
  240. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it
  241. if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination.
  242. The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.

  249. For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”
  250. So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
  251. And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
  252. Test the Spirits

    Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
  253. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
  254. Overcoming the World

    Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.
  255. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
  256. Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son.
  257. That You May Know

    I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
  258. Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.
