Exodus 24:12-25:9

New International Version

¹² The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone^(A) with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

¹³ Then Moses set out with Joshua^(B) his aide, and Moses went up on the mountain^(C) of God. ¹⁴ He said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we come back to you. Aaron and Hur^(D) are with you, and anyone involved in a dispute^(E) can go to them.”

¹⁵ When Moses went up on the mountain, the cloud^(F) covered it, ¹⁶ and the glory^(G) of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai.^(H) For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud.^{(I) 17} To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire^(J) on top of the mountain. ¹⁸ Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty^(K) days and forty nights.^(L)

Offerings for the Tabernacle^(M)

25 The Lord said to Moses, ² “Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts^(N) them to give. ³ These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze; ⁴ blue, purple and scarlet yarn^(O) and fine linen; goat hair; ⁵ ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather^[a];^(P) acacia wood;^{(Q) 6} olive oil^(R) for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;^{(S) 7} and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod^(T) and breastpiece.^(U)

⁸ “Then have them make a sanctuary^(V) for me, and I will dwell^(W) among them. ⁹ Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern^(X) I will show you.
